The Abia State Police Command has announced the arrest of Emeka Chukwuma, a male suspect from Umuchu in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, in connection with the recovery of a Toyota Highlander SUV bearing registration number BBR667RM, which was reported stolen in Akwa Ibom State in 2022, as disclosed in a late-night statement on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen Chinaka, who spoke on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa; the statement revealed that following credible and actionable intelligence, operatives of the Scorpion Squad within the Abia State Police Command successfully recovered the stolen vehicle and apprehended the suspect on August 22, 2025, after investigations indicated that the vehicle might have been moved to Abia State, and added that the complainant had been contacted to verify the authenticity and ownership of the recovered SUV while further investigations into the case remain ongoing.
